Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was inside a locked apartment area, locked to itself underneath a deck located immediately underneath my bedroom. Thief must have broken into the gated & locked condo complex. They most likely walked off with the bike still locked to itself. A heavier women's bike stored nearby was left untouched.

I saw bike right before 12:30 on Thursday april 25th. I had just went out side to cover my seat with a plastic bag, right before it started raining. Sun came out...I went to go wipe off the bike and it was gone. It was parked and lock infront of open store. No one saw anything.

Stolen from an indoor securely locked garage.

I left the bike in the locked courtyard behind my building at 6PM. It was gone by 7AM the next day.

Someone apparently followed me and took off with my bike while I was in the house for a minute.

Left bike in secured private garage. Came back next day, bike is gone. No signs of forced entry and neighbor sharing parking spot swears he didn't leave the door open. Incident occurred during period of attempted break-ins and property damage on this specific block.

The frame of the bike was locked to a wooden post on the second story back deck of my apartment building. The theif broke the wooden post and stole the bike with the lock still attached. The seat was not attached to the bike when it was stolen. The bike was stolen at some point during the middle of the night.

The bike was under the porch of a home in Andersonville, it was missing a short time later.

Reflector tape strips on spokes of both wheels. Rack is special made for rear disc brakes. All black components.

I have left the bycicle for less than 3 hours on a busy street Sunday afternoon. The bike racks were busy, so I have locked the bike by the street pole. When came from the bookstore the bike and the lock was gone. I have taken the seat with me, so if the bike is being sold it doesn't have original yellow/black seat.

I locked my bike to a railing in the open, ground-floor parking area of a high-rise building on Franklin St., between Adams and Monroe. I had two locks (an older U lock and a thick, short cable lock for the front tire) ... but I left my keys in the lock! Someone must have seen the keys and made off with the bike, locks, keys ... arghh! (Not a great photo, but all I have here.)

I walked out of work at 8pm and there was no indication of my bike ever being locked to the rack. Also, the picture submitted is a general one from the Fuji website. It look pretty simular except the handlebars aren't curved they were straight across like a mountain bike.

My bike was stolen out of a private parking garage. The garage is underground and has security doors. The bike was there at 7:00 am on April 16th, but was gone by 6:00 pm that evening.

Usually never leave my bike outside, but I was in a hurry and didn't have a chance to bring it up to my apartment. I locked it by it's frame to my side fence where it's not very visible. Before I upgraded to the velocity rims, I had previously left my bike out here every day/night for the past year and have had no problems. Came out early the next morning to find my frame hanging with now wheels. Rims were pried off with all the proper tools. Wheelset was almost brand new in great condition. Please keep you eyes out for anyone trying to sell them. Thanks!

Owner walked into the bank and locked bike to a street sign. When he left 30 minutes later, the bike was gone. The bike was stolen in a busy commercial district in the middle of the day.

My and my fiance's bikes were stolen last night around 2 am (I put together what the clunking noise was this morning) from two separate secured areas in our condo building. My bike was stolen from an interior stairwell, where I used two locks (cable and new U-lock) to lock to an upright-cinderblock-attached bike rack. Steve's was stolen from the garage area, right under the CCTV camera. They left through the back gate into the alley.

Bike was located in a padlocked storage unit, within a padlocked storage room. Wooden storage unit was broken into and bike was removed.
