Bike was in common area of my apartment residence. The side door entrance to this area automatically locks when shut. Neighbors reported seeing this door propped open with a broom stick the morning of the theft. The odd thing is that there are multiple merchandise items from all residents in this area (including another bike) but apparently only my bike was taken.

It isn't a bright white, I've had it for over 20 years. There is some black tape around the middle area, to hold down the brake wires. Front tire is easily popped off. The chain that I had with it was blue, and the lock was opened with a key that only I have. There is a round mirror on the right side of the handle bars.

It was locked outside of the harrison red line stop, on the east side of Jones College Prep. I had left it overnight, and when I went back the next day it was gone, along with the chain and lock. I had the front wheel and body locked to a bike rack, and I checked to make sur the rack was sturdy and secured in the ground, as I always do. I know there's been a lot of crime in the loop lately, so I don't doubt it was stolen.

The bike was locked to a pole in front of the apartment building for about 20 minutes (Newer U-Lock w/flat key). It was locked by front tire & frame by a Kryptonite U-lock, which remained unbroken and locked to the pole from where the bike was stolen. I have NO idea how they/he/she removed both the tire and bike frame.

There is some white speckled paint around the 'Trek; verbiage on the frame, which is park of the logo. The original tire that came with the bike is still on the front however the back tire has been replaced.

Someone came into my backyard in the middle of the day and chose this bike of the four back there and made of with it between the hours of 11:30 and 1:30. I hate to believe it but it seems that a neighbor had to be the culprit. They had to know to check that the padlock on our gate was unlocked and then proceed from there.
