Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Main garage door was open. Heard people in alley around 2/2:30am but not suspicious. 7am checked and bikes were gone.

Bike was locked on the northeast corner of S Wacker Drive and Adams to a bike rack. Also locked to the bike/rack was a dark green helmet. Bike was locked at around 9:15am and upon returning around 4:15pm was missing. Found no sign of bike, lock or any evidence indicating how the lock was defeated (lock was ABUS brand folding keyed lock). Bike was left in clear view of Wells Fargo bank branch with at least one security camera clearly visible. Building security at 125 S Wacker Drive refused to assist when asked.

Hi! Hello! The last known sighting of my bike was at 5:00 PM on Friday, April 11, after I finished riding it. I discovered it missing at 5:00 PM on Monday, April 14. The bike was stored in a communal basement storage area near the laundry machines. The rear door to this area showed no signs of forced entry, though the lock is known to be weak and can be easily bypassed (I demonstrated this myself in under 10 seconds using just a twig).My leasing office confirmed that their handyman did not remove the bike, ruling out accidental removal. I’m currently speaking with neighbors to narrow down the 72-hour window. I’ve also reached out to adjacent neighbors for access to their security camera footage that may cover the area.The bike is a Nishiki, though I don’t have the exact model or serial number due to its age and the fact that it was a gift about seven years ago. I’m reviewing my phone for any related information. The bike had a heavy-duty chain in a black sheath with a padlock wrapped around the torso, but the lock was not engaged over the weekend and may still be on the bike.I have photos of the bike and a video demonstrating the door lock’s weakness, available upon request. The bike was locked before school, and after school, it was locked outside the door under camera coverage.

Chain was cut and bike stoken. Bike has airtag last registered at 1620 W 38th St, Chicago, IL 60609 in the alley.

Our back window was broken with a glass cutter to enter the unit. Bike was stolen after bringing it home the day prior brand new. Other items were also stolen.

I went to pick up my bike to take it to get the tire fixed, and the bike was gone.

Was working at the Eco Cafe on Rockwell and Lawrence. Went to check on my bike to find my lock cut and bike gone. Witness saw someone casing our bike and store. Saw them again with an electric grinder/saw. White male, middle aged, bad teeth, baseball hat.

Came home, bike missing, guy came in gate around 929

Bike was secured to a bike rack at 2355 N Lincoln Ave, 60614. Presume the bike lock was cut. The bike was taken to and stored at 4407 N Spaulding, 60625 for multiple days before the thief removed the AirTag that had been tracking the bike. I attempted to retrieve it with no luck.

The bike was in the alley behind my garage. I left it there unlocked accidentally. It was there for maybe 20-30 minutes before someone stole it. We think the thief was driving a white minivan.

Bike was in my garage and one of my neighbors left the garage open. Bike was stolen from the garage and noticed it this morming

Left my scooter locked while at work, during a bathroom break I felt a bit of unease and went to check my scooter, sure enough it had been stolen.

They park, then do a loop, then park again. Suspect 1 exits car and enters 2559 w north ave. They return and stand/enter passenger side and stay there for a while. • 18:?? I exit 2557 w north ave. • 19:55 suspect 2 rounds the corner of rockwell and north ave. long chunky hair (probably locks) black coat, a bag (black or dark grey) and white socks. They are leaning or limping because the bag is heavy. They cut bike lock. You can see sparks. • 19:57 Suspect 2 rides bike east before turning south on maplewood • 20:07 black car pulls off heading east past maplewood.

My bike was chained and locked to bicycle rack on the sidewalk on W School St. The location was at the intersection of Ashland and W School Street. The bicycle rack across the street from the Target.

My bike was in the covered gangway on the side of by condo, it was U-locked to itself preventing the back wheel from moving. The gang way has a locked gate in front. It is open in the back but leads to the car park which has a remote controlled gate. They must have taken it from the back as the front gate's lock is intact.

My bike "Trek FX3 Disc" is missing from the bike rack room. I last used the bike on October 11th 2024. It was found missing on March 18th 2025, when I tried to use it again for biking on a warm weather day. It was locked to the bike rack through the front wheel using a combination cable lock. The bike rack room is controlled via fob and can be accessed only by the residents of the apartment. The bike rack room has a camera.

I attended a show at Second City. I arrived to the venue at around 9:30pm and locked my bike to a rack just east of the building's North Avenue entrance. I left the venue with friends at around 11:15 pm and we turned the corner to go to Corcoran's, just north on Wells. I did not notice whether or not my bike had been stolen at that time. When I left Corcoran's just after midnight, I discovered that my bike was gone.
