Incident Description:
Locked the bike with a Kryptonite U-lock through the rear wheel, frame, and around a stop sign post at about 9pm on Thursday, April 14th. I ensured the sign post was not removable, as I park there regularly. I also had a cable running through the front wheel to the lock. When I returned to the bike the next morning the bike, lock, and cable were entirely gone.
It's at the corner residential of Webster and Fremont in Lincoln Park, which while it isn't a busy corner overnight, should have some traffic down Webster here and there. Either the lock picked, sawed off (I don't think too likely), or I absentmindedly didn't lock it around the post. I ride daily and have had a bike stolen once before so I'm pretty strict about guarding against this possibility.
