Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was not locked, but was on the porch of a coachouse in the gated, private back yard of the unit.

2nd story porch railing was damaged to remove bike. another newer, but less valuable bike locked next to it was left unharmed.

Bike locked at 47th redline, left it at noon and came back at 9pm to see it was missing

Bike was locked in front of PNC Bank across from Sears Tower. Front tire was cut and left.

Lock was cut through with a saw. It happened in the middle of the night, so I did not hear or see anything. Garage door was not open, the person who stole the bike must have gotten into the building through the other 2 locked doors at all times.

Bike was left out locked between 7am-4:30pm on July 6 until I returned. Outside of 600 West building on Chicago Ave. Bike stand is right near the fork of N Kingsbury St and N Larrabee St. Seems like the person that stole it matched the combination, as there are only 4 dials #1-6, so it could have been figured out quickly. There are dozens of bikes sitting out among 7-8 racks all next to each other.

My bike was stolen off of my enclosed/locked/fenced in patio.

Bike was locked thoroughly on Lower Michigan Ave. under the Tribune Tower in a decently monitored area. Cable lock was cut and left.

Fiancee went to basement where my bike was to do laundry. Bike was never locked because you had to get through a minimum of two locked doors to get into the basement. So she goes to take laundry out of dryer at about 10pm and notices that my bike isn't there and that the first interior door leading to the basement is unlocked and then the door to the outside is wide open. Zero forced entry.

Woke up this morning to see that the bike was gone along with the lock from my back yard where it was locked to the fence. Brand new bike which makes me think someone stole it intentionally

Bike was locked to the iron fence on 2nd floor back patio. I was away for the weekend and noticed it was missing when I returned home this afternoon (5/30/2018) around 6pm. The Ulock was through the rear wheel and the fence with a cable lock through the frame and ulock. Cable was cut, unsure how the ulock was defeated.

At 6:55 pm I locked my bike to a thick metal pole outside of AMC River East 21 with my MasterLock cable lock and went inside the theater to meet my friends. When we walked out of the theater around 10 pm my bike was missing. I noticed a security camera on the building of the theater less than 10 feet away from where my bike was. I went to AMC customer service, they called building's security and I've been told that they do not deal with cases like that even though they have a footage of the actual theft happening right under their nose.

The bike was locked and secured on a car mount and was only there for max 4 hours. The lock, bungie cords, and bike were missing.

Bike was locked in our shared storage unit space, which has other bikes, items (like TVs, mattresses) out in the open that residents don’t lock up. My bike was the only thing stolen. The door to the basement is key operated and was not broken into - the door lock is still intact. Noticed it was missing today (5.29.18) and the door was locked. My stolen date is approximate, since it’s the last time I can say I knew it was down there.

Someone broke into the community garage at the building and stole 2 bicycles.

Bike usually kept behind locked door, this time door was not locked properly and was cracked open.
