Bike was gone. Tarp left behind.

The bike was behind a locked door leading to condos. The locked door is also inside an enclosed garage.

Parked it out front of Union Station on Adams, at bike rack just east of Canal on south side of street, around 9am. Came out at 5pm. Bike and lock were gone.

Bike was left overnight in a closed/locked garage. The bike itself was not locked with u-lock since it was in a secured garage. Unsure of how entry was gained as man door locks (both doorknob and deadbolt) remained locked and roll-up garage door was closed. No other items in the garage were taken.

Three teenagers with hats came up the stairs and quickly grabbed the bike.

The bike was hanging in a private 6 car garage. It was there when I was last in the garage at 10am on Sunday 1/11 and gone when I came back at 5pm on Monday 1/12.

Broke into garage and stole 4 bikes

The bike was temporarily being stored on the garage ceiling, with the lock only on the bike itself, as we've recently moved in to a 3 unit flat. The garage door may have been accidentally left open (we're not sure, we hadn't left the condo). The last entry to the garage was around 2:30. Between 3:30-4:30, judging on the state of the treads and how fresh they looked, someone walked in and rode off on the bike. Around 4:45/5 o'clock, I went to go check on something in the garage, and noticed the main door was open, and the bike was gone. There were bike treads in the snow starting from the front inside of the garage (you could see the slip when the bike hit the snow). These led down the alley (parallel to Racine) heading north. I tracked the tire treads continuously in the snow out down the alley heading for a block or two then heading west, though they were more intermittent then, down Oakdale heading west, after hitting Lakewood, they seemed to turn left but I lost them after that. I did see an open garage, with active loading/unloading happening and a bike that I swore was ours, but it turns out it was new movers and the police questioned them and said it was their bike. It snowed a lot today and it is a small women's road bike with no winter tires - no one would be riding this bike as a commuter at this point in the year! Someone much taller than the bike's size must have reached it from the ceiling. Its kryptonite u-lock is still around the front frame/spokes of the bike. I filed a police report - but handed it to the officer who helped me out when he arrived (I wrote the description of the event, and was flustered, all on the same page...); I'll update this with the serial number and report number when I find them - hopefully ASAP, all of our receipts and everything are packed up so we are trying to find the serial numbers though for reference.

I was run off the road by a drunk driver on New Years at two in the morning and fractured my face on the corner of Chicago and Western. A Good Samaritan called an ambulance, but the EMTS left my bike on the corner because it wouldn't fit in the ambulance.

I locked it to a strong metal fence in front of the building entrance door. Both the lock and the bikes are stolen. I believe the person who stole the them is a PROFESSIONAL thief.

Horrible person broke into my garage and stole my bike, didn't even have courtesy to close door behind them, inexplicably took my piece of crap helmet and a lock for which they didn't have the keys.

The bike was stolen from our enclosed multiple unit garage either Sunday Dec 28 2014 evening or Monday Dec 29 2014 morning. The bike was leaning on the wall in front of our car, not locked. I suspect another tenant exited the garage and possibly left the door open.

My bike was in the alley, I was about 10 feet away in my yard, someone stole it.

I think the U-lock may have been compromised, or maybe I improperly locked it.

bike locked in front of Macy's, was gone when I left 5 hours later. Front wheel U-locked to frame over bike rack.

I went into the 7-Eleven on Diversey and Pine Grove for about 10 minutes to get a few items and left the bike right outside the front door unlocked. When I returned, the bike was gone.
