Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

The bike was locked under my exterior stairs in a locked backyard area. My neighbors who share access to this yard are very diligent about keeping the gate locked and keeping an eye on the area. Whoever took it would've had to quickly jump the fence (7 ft metal) , throw the bike over, then jump back over themselves. My wife and I were out helping friends move most of the day (Saturday) and I did not check on the bike when returning home to go to bed. So, realistically the culprits could've taken it anytime between 3pm Saturday and 6am Sunday

Bike was tucked away in a gated driveway area of my employer Dark Matter Coffee. Gate must have been unlocked by coworker and left so. Bike was only unattended for a maximum of 1 hour.

someone jumped the fence and took it, gate was still latched, I found a foot print in the mud by my fence of a smaller sized skate shoe around size 7 so possibly someone younger.

I was in class at the Bar Method on Milwaukee and Paulina. The bike was locked to the frame only because I was in a rush and have the special locks on my tires that are supposed to prevent someone from steeling the wheels. During class, one of the students said that there was a suspicious man lingering outside of the window, exactly where my bike was locked. I assume this is the same man who stole my bike. The lock was left intact, which is very confusing.

Bike was stolen from the bike/laundry room of my building, which requires a key to enter.

I locked my bike on Madison next to the Marianos on Halsted and Madison and when I came out from shopping the bike lock had been cut and my bike was gone.

The Lock was not defeated, the fence was. someone took an electric sawsall and cut straight through the fence. The incident happened at some point during the day.

I left my bike on our balcony, we are the second floor unit and our entrance is gated, you need to be buzzed in or hop the fence to get in. Once the thief gained access they climbed up our balcony where my bike was, unlocked on the balcony. I didn't think crime had gotten so bad that people are climbing up second story balconies for a $300 bike but ok, looks like I was wrong. So please help me get my bike back, I really liked that thing and it just started getting nice out! Located in Logan Square, I've lived here 8 years and I know bikes get stolen all the time...but damn. A few details: The incident occured between 3pm and 7pm today May 25, 2016. Our building has security cameras so my landlord is going to review the footage and get back to me. Once I see what that looks like and file a police report I'll update here.

Bike was locked to a street sign near the east end of the block by the Kaiser Tiger in the West Loop. The combination lock was cut, where the combination is located not where the cable is located. When I came back, the lock was ripped, left on the ground, and the bike was gone.

I locked my bike up with a cable + pad lock at 7 AM CST on 05/25. This was on one of the busier streets of the Financial district. Around 11:45 AM CST I came back up and the bike was gone along with the lock. God damn what a day to forget my u lock.

Bike left locked with two others (older, cheaper - no stolen) in bike rack at entrance to Lincoln Park Zoo. Bike was not there on return. There two other locked bikes (owners can confirm) not stolen.

Bike was unlocked, under a storage cage in front of our parking spot in the building garage, which is locked to the public. Bike was stolen overnight, someone wearing a black hoody and baggy jeans was seen leaving the garage back door with it on closed circuit recording.

Rode to work and locked bike up at 7:30am. At 5:15pm came down and all that was left was the complete, unharmed front tire still locked to the bike rack. Bike was locked among numerous other bikes in the garage of commercial building where I work (225 W Wacker). Another guy on the second bike rack had his front tire stolen same day, as well.
