Bike is in good condition - a few scratches on the top tube and down tube from being locked up. I changed the handlebars to red bullhorns - no tape, just painted metal (I believe they were aluminum, but I'm not sure). Also, the pedals are red (same color as the handlebars) and chrome. Other than that, all of the specs on the bike were original: white chain and rims, Shimano cranks & cog, chrome headset, white Specialiazed saddle.

I locked the bike in front of Andersonville Wine & Liquors, because it is the closest place to my house to lock that isn't a tree. I liked the bike with a Kryptonite U-Lock through the front wheel & the frame. I locked it to a no parking sign around 10pm, and I had locked it here several times previously. When I came back around 8am the next morning, the bike had vanished. There was no obvious damage to the pole, and no sign of my lock or bike.

It also is labeled by the style and says "sheila" in pink. It has shimano clip-less pedals and a silver water bottle rack. One of the tires has a neon green cap over the tire valve, the other wheel has a black cap. It is a very unique frame as it was purchased online. Bike was stolen from the ground floor of my apartment complex. Bike was locked front wheel and frame to a steel pipe with a newer model U-lock and back wheel and frame with a thick cable lock that was wrapped around the pipe and then looped around the U-lock. Whomever stole it had to break both locks. Whomever stole it also left the bike next to it (my roommate's) even though it is chained in front of my bike and with a cheap and flimsy U-lock.

There is the Bloomingdale Abandoned Railroad / Highline next door and the bike could be seen from there so thats the most likely case. Door was unlocked because I was home. This is the first theft thats happened at this apartment. Also nothing else was taken from the apartment except for my bike and my brothers bike.

I love this bike, but I'm even more freaked out by the fact that someone was on our back porch while we were home we and didn't even know it. They were very sneaky and quiet about it because our dog generally bounds towards any noise he hears. Since my bike isn't rideable they either walked it or had a car so I'm not sure how far they got, but I would love to see this bike returned to me. Thank you so much!

Locked the bike to a street sign in a pinch because there were a lot of other bikes around. Many people were out on the street. Went into a space up the street to see a performance and when I came out the bike was gone. The screws at the bottom of the sign had been removed. A small kryptonite U-lock was around the front part of the frame; I don't believe it was broken, just slid off. It's a very distinctive bike (more pictures are here on the Lugs bike shop blog. http://lugschicago.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html). I feel terrible for not locking it more carefully. I really love this bike.

The bike is in overall good condition. There are several distinguishing marks on the paint job. The most significant being on the top surface of the top tube both near the stem and close to the seat post where the pain is almost completely chipped away. There are also some stickers on the sides of the top tube, one is white and reads "I dream on two wheels", and one on the other side is blue, and reads "May Peace Prevail on Earth." The stem is not original, and is adjustable with two halves, one black and one chrome. The handlebar tape is blue. The shifters no longer have a cap on the top of them, and the tightening screws are exposed on both sides.

Locked up bike outside Ravenswood Antique Mart- last checked on it at midnight and when I woke up at 9am both wheels had been stolen, as had the back wheel of bike parked next to mine. My bike was U-locked through the frame (newer u-lock with flat key) to the bike rack with a cable lock (long kryptonite cable) through both tires and the ulock. Cut cable was left at the scene. My frame was still u-locked to the bike rack. Bike next to mine (do not know the owner) had back wheel taken by what appears to have been defeat of standard fixie bolt on wheel- removed with a wrench.
