Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was stolen in the middle of the night. The lock and the bike vanished.

I believe that someone cut through the cable cord that my bike was locked up to and stole it.

Locked my bike with combination lock cable to a city supplied bike rack. There were approximately 10 bikes there, when I locked my bike. Went to see a movie at Landmark Theatre, came out after movie was over, my bike was missing. There were no other bikes attached to bike rack either, however there were locks on the ground, suspect other bikes might be stolen also.

Garage door was mistakenly left open. Thief got away easy. Yes, I feel stupid but I feel worse for the dumbfuck that's got to steal shit to get by.

My son left the bike on the first landing of were we live and he ran up stairs to retrieve a lock he came back down and it was gone

The bike was attached to a very low fence in front of my building. The fence is only there for decoration to surround a flower bed. The bike was there when I went into the building 6/9/12 at night and then it was gone when I left my building 6/10/12.

Went into the zoo for a couple hours, came out and it was gone. Just moved to Chicago a few days ago. Nice welcoming commitee.

My bike & a friend's bike were locked together to my gate outside of my apartment. They were locked on my property inside the gate and were most likely stolen over night. I discovered they were gone and immediately filed a police report. My friend's bike is also a Novara and it light bluish green.

Bike was cable locked to a bike rack at the Cumberland Blue Line Station near elevator and stairs. Both the bike and lock are missing.

Please note in the picture that the lock, seat, seatpost, and stem are different. Stolen from my back deck, locked via cable to the wooden rail of my balcony. Must have cut the cable or picked the u-lock it was attached with.

I returned home from a trip on June 1 to find that my bicycle which had been U-locked to a street sign in front of my condo since the previous Monday (5/28) had been stolen. Adjacent to the street sign (no parking sign) was a white plastic chair on which the actual sign had been left presumably by the thieves. The sign had been detached from the top of the pole. The thieves likely lifted the bicycle past the top of the pole after they had detached the sign from the top of the pole. There was no trace of the bike other than the white chair and the sign which were left adjacent to the pole.

bike was locked night before. next morning it was gone. no traces of a cut luck. It was a krytonite u lock in addition to chain to deter wheel theft

Left inside Garage of residential house. Locks were in basket, Thief removed locks and stole bike. Person came inside of side gate and entered at side door of garage and stole bike from there. Other bikes were not harmed

Trollers had targeted known, locked, storage area where the Langster and a Gary Fisher SS were regularly stored. Wood lattice to alley was broken through, cables locking bikes to stout chain in storage area. A third bike in the gated, fenced drive, was locked to wrought iron fence, chain lock cut. Three bikes stolen, locks, fence, loved access area were not a deterrent. Police report filed, don't have number yet.

THIS IS A VERY SIMILAR LOOKING BIKE, NOT MY EXACT BIKE. My bike still says Shogun on the frame. Bike was removed from the bike racks at the Do Division festival probably by the festival workers.

My bike was locked with my boyfriend's bike to a metal pole in front of my apartment. Last time I saw it was around 11pm on June 10, and in the morning the u-lock was cut, and only my bike was stolen.

Bike was locked to bike rack and another bike (Raleigh One Way also listed) at Logan Square Blue line stop at street level outdoors. It was there from about 1pm until 230pm when we came back to find the lock cut and bikes gone.

Bike was stolen off the 2nd floor of an enclosed back porch. Was u locked to another bike (2009 Jamis Citizen also listed here) and then chained to a radiator. Woke up and Both bikes were missing without a trace.
