The front tire is older and is a mixed on-road/off-road tire. The rear tire was recently replaced and was a road tire. I think the make of the rear tire was Gator. The handlebar tape was coming loose especially on the right side.

My bike was locked behind the McDonalds Bike Center at Millenium Park. I had locked the bike on August 8th at 9am. When I return around 2pm it was gone. My bike was locked together with my wife's bike. Her bike is a fairly cheap bike and was left there along with the cut cable lock.

Thieves stole my bike from rack in front of Cornerstone learning center at 1111 N Wells St. I have video of the incident because there is a camera inside the learning center that actually videoed the whole thing. Thieves arrived at 4:02, cut the lock with a chain machine and left at 4:07 on Thursday July 26 at 4:02am.

Re posting now with picture and small edits, Large comfort seat taped down with duct tape. triangular and other shaped reflective symbols on the frame of the bike. front tire frame was black and the rear silver. rear tire had a different tread and is newer than front tire. there was a rear rack on the bike and mud-flaps at time of theft. Shifters were a different style than what was original to the bike. When stolen had the number 1490 still attached to frame left over from a recent triathlon.(Edit: number was found ripped off in alleyway) holder for bike light attached to front handlebar although the light was not on at time of theft.

Bike was under the back porch of the apartment building in the bike storage area. The yard is inclosed and back gate was left locked when I left for the day. when i returned this evening my bike was missing. It appeared that several other bikes had been taken as well but it's possible they were simply in use at the time. I believe someone was either let in through the back gate or forced their way in looking for anything of value to steal in the backyard or basement area.

They cut through the chain, defeating lock two and throough the rack defeating lock one. They took the bike away with the U Lock attached. Garage was breached by a faulty opener which opened after closing due to some faulty sensor. Picture is from the company site and not of my specific bike. Mine looks like this but more brown.

The bike was taken from a busy street around many residential apartment buildings. Having not found the lock or any evidence it was cut through (e.g. shavings), my best guess is that the One Way pole was unbolted and the bike slipped off or it was cut with a torch. The apartment I was had a clear view of the bike on the second floor and the windows open so loud noise (e.g. a saw, possibly even bolt cutters) would have possibly been heard.

The bike racks are usually filled by 8am. I came back from work later that day and noticed there were two other bikes parked where I parked my bike. Someone HAD to have seen something. Especially that early. There is the coffee shop right across the street and it's parked in front of the CTA open door.

The bike is a small ladies frame with the rack on the back. I just had a new seat installed (the seat was stolen the week prior). The brakes aren't working, so that would be a dead give-away that its mine.
