Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

I left this morning at 11am and the bike was still there. It's kept at the end of a hall next to my apartment tucked behind the stairwell. Door to stairwell from outside usually kept locked. No sign of break-in. They left my helmet and rock behind. Kept my Kryptonite cable.

The bike thief walked into the bookstore I was in, waited until I was busy with the clerk, and took my bike, traveling south on Milwaukee avenue. Thief description: Hispanic male, height: 5'7" - 5'9", weight: 150-165 lbs, age: 40 years old, clothing: blue sleeveless shirt, dark shorts, baseball hat, black and white basketball shoes

Bike stolen directly in front of Lincoln Square Athletic Club. Was locked to a bike rack with cable lock. Thief was able to open lock .

Bike was in a locked room within the garage in my apartment building. The door to the bike room itself is locked with a code and so is the garage door. The garage is staffed 24/7. The bike itself was not locked. The theft had to of occurred between 5PM Jun 16 and June 20 5PM

I locked the bike there on Thursday night, but saw the bike was still there on Friday morning. When I returned this Tuesday morning, the bike was no longer there. The lock was cut and left at the scene. The bike was on the southeast corner of webster and seminary, attached to a street sign.

Bike was locked to a bike rack in front of Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium park. U lock was locked to front wheel but not frame. Cable was attached to frame and U lock. Cable was cut, Frame was taken, and wheel was attached to another bike, presumably the thief's bike.

Neighbor left the storage room door open. Bike stolen sometime overnight. Storage room behind locking gate.

The bike was suspended from two hooks mounted in the rafters of my private garage.

I left my like unlocked briefly to buy a slice or pizza. The person at the counter witnessed the incident - it was perpetrated by a person who hangs out there often.

Brand new bike. Graduation gift stolen same night. It was in our garage. Someone jumped the rear side gate and accessed our garage door. They stole a total of 5 bikes. 3 adult & 2 child bikes

Last night after midnight. Someone jumped our rear side gate and accessed our garage. They took 3 adult bikes and 2 child bikes. I"ve had this bike since 1985. It's a unique bike. I can't put a value on it. Please contact if you have any information.

I parked my bike right outside Langham Hotel on East Kinzie St around 3:30 pm on 6/18/16. I arrived back at 7:30 pm and the bike and lock was gone.

I left my office next to the Merchandise Mart at 6PM on Friday June 17th. My bike was locked via a cable lock through the front wheel and frame to the bike racks on N Orleans street next to the Merchandise Mart. When I arrived, my bike was missing with no evidence left at the scene. I immediately spoke to the security team at the Merchandise Mart and was able to find video footage on their cameras of me arriving to work in the morning, parking the bike, then at 5:31PM a man rides a bicycle heading south and stops next to my bike. He locked his bike up, then pulled cutters out of a white cloth bag, cut my lock, jumped on my bike and continued riding south on N. Orleans street before heading out of site over the bridge. He was wearing a white bike helmet, black tshirt, dark pants, tennis shoes, and was not very coordinated, as he was wobbling all over the place as he rode away. The thief left his bicycle at the scene, locked up. I stayed around for a few hours but he never returned to retrieve it yet. I figured he will come back for it since he locked it up. I was able to snap some photos of him form the security footage, though they are not clear enough to see a face.

My bike was locked to a bike rack at my office building, 200 S. Wacker. Cable lock through both wheels and frame locked to bike rack. Checked on bike at lunch and it was fine. Came out of office at 5:15 pm and it was gone. Must have cut cable. Bike rack is under video surveillance.

Bike was locked outside of the merchandise mart.

I pulled up to the back of my garage to put my bike inside, then realized I didn't have the garage-door opener on me. So I went aside, pet my dog for a bit, and when I went out to get the bike, it was gone.

Bike was parked outside of house, and is not missing with the chain and lock
