I made a trip to 200 W Madison to grab lunch with a friend. Locked my bike on the rack with a U-lock and cable through the front tire. When I came back, no more than 30 mins, all that was left was my U-Lock (still locked to the rack). I'm baffled on how this could have happened.

My bike, along with my Fiances black Specialized bike were stolen from a metal pole in our apartment's basement. They were both locked together with a Kryptonite U-lock and cable. There are many bikes down there but only ours were taken. We hadn't gone down there in a few weeks and just noticed they were both gone so we don't know exactly when it happened.

the bike was stolen out of our storage unit in Lincoln Park. We live in a 3 flat. I had just gotten by Fiance this bike for his birthday! We didn't have it locked but had a bike lock with it. It was in our storage unit so we felt it was secure. The brand is Beltway and it was in brand new condition! There was a mounted U lock on it!

I last used my bike on Monday, 3/14, around 6 pm. I returned the bike to my locked personal storage area inside my basement (which is inside of two locked doors to the building). On 3/16, I went to the basement and noticed that someone had bent the latch to my storage unit, gaining access, and stealing my bike.

Officer from 311 took report and told me I needed to have the SN for it to be a relevant search. I've had the bike for 20yrs, and I have no idea what the SN is.
