Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Around noon 2 students from my class who were walking from our location heard the noise of a grinder and didn't see where it was coming from, but connected it later when i told them about my bike; my guess is there was a group of people around to distract, because it is a high traffic area in front of a martial arts studio on a sunny weekend.

Bike was locked in a storage unit that was vandalized.

The bike was parked briefly in front of Logan Liquors – probably for less than a minute – and U-locked to itself. In this period, it was carted off by someone in a vehicle.

I left my bike locked outside while at work, came out and the bike was stolen along with the lock.

Had a family emergency and left town for four days. Was forced to leave my bike locked to a bike rack (the metal upside down u-shaped ones found in Chicago) outside of the Kimball brown line station. Returned to get it and of course it was gone.

Bike was taken and Lock defeated sometime on Sunday or Monday night from an enclosed porch on the second floor.

Bike was located outside Duran Cafe on 529 North Milwaukee. I arrived at the Cafe around 12 in the afternoon and was there right after 5 o'clock.

The bike was locked outside of a house overnight against a fence. Ulock cut. Helmet left. Locked my bike there on and off (with no specific consistency for the last 3 months)

Came down to grab bike for a ride. The front wheel and lock where attached to the bike rack. The rest of the bike had been taken. They unscrewed the front wheel from frame and took it.

We arrived at the Farmers Market around 11am. This and my roommates bike (MASI speciale fixed) were both stolen within the hour. Across the street from New Wave coffee on Milwaukee.

I was at the Self Magazine work out in the park event at 10am. I locked my bike to the bike rack right in front of the entrance at Columbus and Monroe. It was taken between 2:30-3pm. My friend left the event first and said it was still there.

A friend and I had just completed a bike ride along the Lake Front Trail and we stopped at Cafe Vienna on N Clark St to grab some food. We locked both bikes through the front tires and the frames to an metal street sign pole on W Deming in front of the Starbucks outdoor seating area. After completing our meal, we walked back to find my friends bike lying on its side along with half the cut lock on the ground. My bike was gone.

Garage was broken into through side door. Bike stolen.

The bike was in front of CTA Clark and lake station. Now it's gone.

I locked my bike to a street sign on the corner of Taylor Street and Loomis around 8pm. I came back around 3am to find the street sign lifted up and on the sidewalk with my bike missing. The attached picture is not the actual bike, but that is exactly how it looks except in silver.

I usually bike to work but I didn't this morning. I left the bike near the front yard, between ours and our neighbors buildings, inside our gate. Came home at 5:30pm and the bike was gone.

Bike was secured within workplace behind two locked gates. First gate is for residents of building; 2nd gate is secured by different lock for the safety of the place of business (bar & grill). Either gates were accidentally left open or customer walked into area and took bike out the rear exit of bar through secure gates.. Last seen around Chicago & Campbell.

I rode my bike to the Rockwell Brown Line station and parked it in front of the pet supply store there around 615 am. I went to work. When I got off the train at 415pm the bike and lock were both gone. Other bikes in the Lincoln Square area were also reported missing.
