Buckingham Pl. at 8:15 pm on the evening of Thursday, May 17. I came out the next morning (Fri. May 18) at 7 am to find it gone. It was locked with a newer U-lock AND a combination cable lock; the U-lock was locked to the fence around the frame underneath the seat (my fatal mistake). The cable lock was then strung through the front wheel and through the U-lock and also locked to the fence. When I found that my bike had been stolen, the U-lock was intact. The cable lock had been cut.

Bike was left for a few minutes in courtyard. The lock on the courtyard gate must not have latched automatically like it usually does and someone came in and either rode the bike out with a flat, or rolled it away. This was in the afternoon. Bike is scratched up with a broken rear derailleur cable. I am posting this for my neighbor- he said it was his fault, but I still think whoever took it is a jerk. Will be checking a local "we pay cash for bikes" place nearby. Have a feeling the bike also may have been taken for scrap, although the courtyard is thoroughly fenced in and the bike wasn't too close to the iron gate.
